Tübingen Conference for AI and law
November 5-6 2025 in Tübingen
The Tübingen Conference for Artificial Intelligence and law brings together academic researchers from both computer science and law in an interdisciplinary format that fosters exchange and discussions between these two fields. The conference targets an international, academic audience that is willing to think beyond the boundaries of their own discipline.
Confirmed Invited Speakers
- Rediet Abebe – Harvard University / ELLIS Institute and University of Tübingen
- Solon Barocas – Microsoft Research / Cornell University
- Sylvie Delacroix – King’s College London
- Christoph Engel – Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods
- Michal Gal – University of Haifa
- Philipp Hacker – European New School of Digital Studies, Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder)
- Christoph Kern – Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich
- Christoph Sorge – Saarland University
Call for Contributions
The conference will consist of keynote presentations (see above for a list of confirmed speakers) and contributed presentations.
With this call, we invite academic researchers in all stages of their career to submit suggestions for presenting their ongoing work. Topics of interest span the whole breadth of academic research that connects AI and law. Contributions consist of a short talk and should be understandable to researchers in both AI and law. Please submit your suggested contribution by June 3, 2025 under the following link: https://forms.gle/5SkATxgGz8Jh6VWw9
Submissions should consist of the title of your contribution, an abstract of at most one page, a link to your webpage, and references to your own prior work. Selection criteria include the fit to the topic of the conference and the quality of the contribution, while we also strive to ensure diversity of our program. In case we receive too many interesting contributions, we might also consider accepting some of them in the form of a poster rather than a talk. The conference is free of charge, but you will need to pay for travel and accommodation yourself. A small number of travel grants might be available upon request.
